Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CtrlKit, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

Description of Service

CtrlKit provides the following services:

  • Link Shortening — create short, branded URLs that redirect to your destination pages.
  • Analytics — track clicks, geographic data, referrers, devices, and other engagement metrics for your shortened links.
  • API Access — programmatically create, manage, and retrieve analytics for your links via our REST API.

Account Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information — you must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
  • Secure Credentials — you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your password and API keys. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CtrlKit for the following purposes:

  • Spam — creating links for unsolicited bulk messaging, phishing, or deceptive redirects.
  • Malware — distributing links that lead to viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any other malicious software.
  • Illegal Content — linking to content that violates applicable laws, promotes violence, or infringes on the rights of others.

We reserve the right to disable any link or suspend any account that violates these terms without prior notice.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology that comprise the CtrlKit service are the intellectual property of CtrlKit and its licensors. You retain ownership of the content you link to, but grant CtrlKit a limited license to process and redirect your links as part of the service.

Limitation of Liability

CtrlKit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, or accuracy of the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CtrlKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in activity that harms the service or other users. Upon termination, your shortened links may be deactivated and your data deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the service. Continued use of CtrlKit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
